The Renewable Pathway in Action

We’re delighted to share some fantastic news. Our new initiative, Renewable Pathway, is already doing exactly what we designed it to do – helping experienced engineers take their next step into the renewable energy industry.

We’re proud to introduce our first perfect candidate, whom we’ll refer to as Paul B. (we’re keeping his full name private while he transitions from his current employer).

From Offshore Oil to Renewables

Paul contacted us while working offshore in the North Sea oil industry, where he has built up over 16 years of experience.

Like many professionals in traditional energy sectors, he’s seen major changes in recent years – financial pressures, legal challenges and an uncertain future for fossil fuels.

Recognising that the renewable industry offers more stability and long-term opportunity, Paul decided it was time to move his career in a new direction, focusing on G99/G100 system testing and grid compliance. He found Renewable Pathway at exactly the right moment.

Building a Structured Pathway

Working together, we’ve helped Paul to:

• Identify the training and qualifications he needs to move into renewables
• Gain early access to our online learning portal, so he can study while offshore
• Secure a place on a 2026 practical training course with a small deposit
• Receive mentorship and guidance from our training team to plan his next steps

This blended approach – combining online learning, personal support and structured practical training – allows engineers like Paul to build confidence and competence before stepping into the renewable sector full-time.
